Congratulations on your upcoming
marriage. We are pleased that you are
considering Old Otterbein Church as the location for your service of
worship and covenant. It is a sacred place for new
beginnings. You do not have to be a United Methodist to be
married at Old Otterbein.
However, we encourage you, if you do not
have a church home, to spend some time in worship with us if
possible, to better understand the foundations of this great church
and get a sense of the honor that is placed on this biblical act
called marriage.
The easiest way to request information is
to send us an email by visiting the contact
page (click here). Or you can e-mail your request
for dates to info@oldotterbeinumc.org, or
email your request to meet with the pastor at pastor@oldotterbeinumc.org or
call the church office.
- An Invitation -
You're invited to visit Old Otterbein and see for yourself, this
beautiful sanctuary where many lives have been joined in marriage
over the past two centuries. Thoughtful couples desire the
reverence and beauty of the church for their wedding and Old
Otterbein welcomes your inquiry into its use and more importantly,
the development of a relationship with Christ's church.
-
Our Sanctuary - Our
simple 1785 colonial sanctuary is perfect for the small or large
wedding. With the balcony, the church can accommodate in
excess of 240 attendees. Its high ceiling and plain windows
are set off with warm natural lighting and music from our
one-of-a-kind pipe organ that is over 100 years old. Even with its
openness, there is still an air of intimacy for small family
groups.
